For the record, I'm a convertible fanatic. I've driven my fair share of them, and can tell you honestly that (IMHO) nothing compares to the feeling of a long cruise with the top down on a lovely summer day. Make it red, and the feeling only gets better.

Having owned competitive cars like Honda S2000s, I was truly interested in how the Saturn SKY stacked up. At 6'2" and 220 pounds, I was worried if I would really fit. Well, after driving for over 30 minutes around town and on the highway (and yes I was comfortable), I noticed a few things about the SKY that I absolutely love.

The Saturn test car, though, came with a 2.0-liter turbo job. It's a significantly smaller powerplant that makes significantly more horsepower — 260, to be precise — and I can't think of a better match for this car. It sings like a Julliard-trained soprano. I took twice as many photos of the Sky than I usually take of my test cars - it's just so cool-looking from every angle. Top up (link goes to photo) or down, the Sky presents interesting, provocative views from each direction. My favorite exterior feature has to be the Batmobile-like cowls behind the driver's and passenger's heads -- way too cool.
