Ride and handling were never an issue with the L-Series. Standard equipment includes traction control, antilock brakes, side airbags and OnStar, the satellite-linked communications system.

The brag on the fresh-look midsizers was such that one might think the '03 sedan and wagon were totally new, and not merely midcycle enhancements.

Styling, Quality to Take on the Imports Before you get too far into this, I want you to know I like this car. I like it a lot. General Motors folk are already saying "Uh-oh, what's coming next?" But I do like the Saturn L200 Sport Sedan. Really.

Test Drive: 2003 Saturn L200 For the 2003 model year, L-Series models receive new exterior styling and some new interior features and options, but some features have been discontinued. For example, rear disc brakes have been replaced with drums on L200 and LW200 models, and anti-lock brakes, which were standard, are now optional on all models. As well, the least-expensive L100 model has been discontinued.
