Saturn S-Series One of the 10 Most Significant GM Cars of All Time (Visit this link)

Alex Taylor III, senior editor of Fortune magazine, recently compiled a list of the ten most significant cars in General Motors history. In chronological order, Saturn was cited as number 7. "Another GM effort to compete with the imports, Saturn represented a fresh start free of old encumbrances, he wrote. But "later it became a corporate orphan and languished for a decade until revived with products designed by Germany's Opel." His full list included the following: 1912 Cadillac, 1927 LaSalle, 1953 Corvette, '55 Chevy, 1959 Corvair, 1964 GTO, 1991 Saturn, 1996 EV1, 2008 Tahoe 2-Mode Hybrid, and the 2010 Volt.
