Officially, Saturn will recommend that you do not install aftermarket electronics of any kind. This is generally universal of all auto manufacturers. At the minimum, you should probably wait until the 30-day guarantee has expired before adding anything.

An in-dash CD deck, standard DIN size. A really big 6-channel amp on the backs of the back seats. A pair of 6 1/2" coaxials in adapter plates on the rear deck. 6 1/2" midbases in adapter plated in the doors.

This pertains to pre-1996 Saturns. Again, Saturn used something that isn't quite standard for GM. The radio Saturn uses is a standard size (width and height) for GM, which is close to a double DIN opening.

The rear deck speaker setup has changed slightly from the first generation sedans. Gone are the rear deck grilles, which allowed easy replacement in the very early models.
