Plant Talks Continue Past Strike Deadline (Visit this link)
General Motors employees at the Fairfax plant continued making Saturn Auras and Chevrolet Malibus on Friday as officials negotiated past a strike deadline trying to reach a new local contract. Talks will continue through the weekend because the union believes some movement has occurred on disputed issues, said John Melton, bargaining chairman of United Auto Workers Local 31.
