Lordstown Plant to Build Saturn Model (Visit this link)
In a move that should help secure jobs, General Motors Corp. plans to build a new Saturn model at its Lordstown Assembly Plant next year, GM sources said. The model is the 2007 Ion, a small car that will use the same "Delta" mechanical underpinnings as the Chevrolet Cobalt now built in Lordstown, said the sources, who asked not to be identified. The Ion now is built at Saturn's plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The 2007 will be a completely new design.
