Hallelujah! It is with great relief and much excitement that I announce that the long move to the new SaturnFans.com server is finally complete. I am very sorry - and embarrassed - that the migration took so long. Every day for the last few weeks, I've been moving files, troubleshooting problems, researching solutions, and testing different fixes for all the issues. I've always enjoyed customizing the different pieces of software that run on this site, but unfortunately, those "one off" modifications probably brought upon more than half of the problems. It took a lot more time than I had hoped to track down and update many years of tweaks and code changes.

Complicating the reconstruction process was an email issue. During the transition an incorrect software/database setting resulted with the server flooding my email account with more than 100,000 emails over a 24 hour period… many more than Gmail could handle. It took almost a week for all of the error messages to filter through Google's servers and into my inbox. The issue blocked or delayed the delivery of many messages. The last of the error messages have been deleted, and my email seems to be working again. This week I will be responding to all the messages you sent -- thank you for your alerts, concern, and support. Please continue to send emails or private messages through the forum if you come across any other issues with the site.

Now that the move is complete, I can get back to doing what I love most about running this website: interacting with all of you as I document the past, present, and future of Saturn. But first I want to share my experience from the Saturn Brand Advocate meeting in Detroit last month. Look for it online later tonight.
