Saturn Offers Two New 2003 Special Edition Vues
September 24, 2002

For a limited time, Saturn will be offering two new special edition models of its 2003 Vue sport-utility. The models will be available between now through the end of December.

One of the new special edition models will be similar to the Sport Plus Vue built last spring. This new special edition will come with the $595 'Sport Package' (order code HIP). This package will only be available on front-wheel drive Vues with 4-cylinder engines and 5-speed manual transmissions. Unlike last year's Sport Plus SE, the 2003 Sport Package will not include a sunroof. However, they will come standard with the Vue power package, alloy wheels, and CD radio. Other free-flow options will be available at regualar charge. The total price for a Sport Package Vue, including the transportation fee, will be $17,495. That reportedly represents a $1455 saving over a Vue with the same options sold individually.

The second special edition Vue will be available in limited supply; Saturn plans to build only two units for each of its retail facilities. It will be offered with the new 'Exterior Accessories Package' (order code HEX). The package will include the regular production accessory package at a reduced price of $800. It will be equipped with roof rack cross bars, side-step bars, and front grill guard. The model will be available in all of the Vue's standard exterior colors. Like the 2002 Sport Package Vue, Vues sold with the Exterior Accessories package will only come with 4-cylinder engines, 5-speed manual transmissions, and front-wheel drive.
