Saturn Ion Boasts Highest Owner Loyalty
February 23, 2006

R. L. Polk reported in its 10th annual Automotive Loyalty study that the Saturn Ion had the highest owner loyalty in the small car segment in 2005. The Ion was also a Polk Automotive Loyalty award winner in 2004. Saturn's parent company, General Motors, continued to outpace the rest of the industry in terms of manufacturer loyalty, winning for the sixth consecutive year in the Overall Manufacturer category. Sixty-three percent of GM owners returning to market in 2005 opted for another new GM vehicle. Polk says, "loyalty is determined when a household that owns a new vehicle returns to market and purchases or leases another new vehicle of the same model or make."
