SaturnFans.com has learned that GM plans to offer a new side-curtain air bag designed to help protect passengers better in a rollover accident. Within the next year, the Detroit News reports that five GM SUVs will offer a new, optional side-curtain airbag that will stay inflated for a longer period of time in the event of a rollover. The 2006 Saturn Vue is will be one of the first GM vehicles to offer the new air bag. The Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, and the Hummer H3 are expected to feature the air bag as well.
