Supercharged VUE Coming in September SaturnFans.com February 4, 2003 Jill Lajdziak, vice president of Saturn sales, service, and marketing, addressed retailers Monday at the 2003 National Automobile Dealers Assoication (NADA) Convention. Automotive News reports that among the topics discussed were plans for "mid-cycle enhancements" to the VUE sport-utility, including a "supercharged 240-hp version with 18-inch wheels due in September." It is not yet known what relation – if any – this announcement has with GM’s decision to install Honda motors in VUEs beginning in the 2004 model year. This summer Saturn is expected to replace the VUE's current Opel-derived 3.0L V6 with a version of Honda's 3.5L V6. Normally apirated versions of the 3.5L engine that have been used in other Honda products produce 240 or more horsepower. In addition to giving retailers a preview of the next three ION television commercials, she also talked about Saturn's seven-passenger minivan-like vehicle that will debut in the fall of 2004.
