Production-Spec Aura Set for NY Debut SaturnFans.com February 2, 2006 Sources tell SaturnFans.com that the production version of Saturn's all-new 2007 Aura won't make a surprise debut next week at the Chicago Auto Show as widely speculated, but at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) in April instead. The confusion largely stemmed from a message posted on the Chicago Auto Show web site that said the Aura was to make its debut there. Earlier this week, General Motors revealed the company has only three announcements planned for the opening of next week's show in Chicago:
As a result, if the current rumors are true, Saturn is poised to steal the show in New York this spring with three all-new model debuts. Along with a production version of the 2007 Aura midsize sedan, it is believed that Saturn will unveil two other vehicles: the 2007 Saturn Outlook midsize sport-utility and a concept version of the next-generation 2008 Saturn Vue. The '07 Outlook was originally expected to be unveiled last month in Detroit; it is supposed to go into production this fall. GM vice chairman Bob Lutz hinted at the '08 Vue unveiling when he told Automotive News at the Frankfurt Auto Show last fall that "the plan is to have [the Opel Antara] rebadged as a Saturn at the New York show" this spring.
