2006 Model Information
What's New for 2006

The 2006 model year will be a transition year of sorts for Saturn, as we await the addition of three all-new models in 2007. This year, Saturn continues its major product revitalization with important enhancements to existing models and an eye on highly anticipated introductions. By the end of the 2006 calendar year, the brand will add three more vehicles to its lineup – doubling its current portfolio and signaling a bold new design direction.

While there are no major new product announcements in store for this model year, Saturn stays true to its "continuous improvement" philosophy with a healthy dose of improvements for each of brand's three models. For 2006, the Saturn Vue compact sport utility receives major interior and exterior refinements, with the Red Line model getting unique styling elements inside and out. The Ion sedan and quad coupe get a new performance package with a 170 horsepower (127 kw) engine, and the Relay crossover sport van adds a more powerful V6 engine, new safety features and the PhatNoise digital entertainment system. Saturn now provides the OnStar in-vehicle safety and security system as standard equipment on every vehicle, reinforcing the brand's commitment to providing continuous safety before, during and after a crash.
