Default TPS Connector

Hello,
Wife's car is a 2000 SL1. It's had an occasional high idle problem for a while now. While driving the idle will sometimes creep up to 2.5k RPM (even seen it go as high as 3k RPM). I had to drive the car the other day and found it extremely annoying. I've replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor. A while back I replaced the IAC valve (common failure on Fords which is what I've been working on for the past few years). I was playing around with it today and I can change the idle speed by wiggling the TPS connector. Voltage on the TPS seemed okay with about .58V at idle and progressed smoothly up to 4.5V at WOT. Would this be a problem with the connector itself or the TPS? I can't seem to find anyone that sells the TPS connector, or maybe I haven't looked hard enough. I've read through enough older posts where people have had good luck with the "wiggle test" and replacing the TPS, but this just doesn't seem right to me.

That certainly looks like it. Have you used one? I am assuming it was used as a MAP sensor connector for another application? That is a great site. I'll have to bookmark that one.

Yeah. I bought one from them. That exact one. I had the same problem. The contacts to TPS were not making good connection. Consequently I sometime had a climbing idle. I replaced my TPS twice before figuring out it was bad connection. I also bought the green MAP sensor connector when I broke the locking tab off. I just replaced the shell and not the terminals on that. Great place to buy a replacement connector for your GM/Saturn.
