Default Auto -> 5-speed BCM PCM Question

Hey guys! I have a 2001 Saturn SL1 auto that I need to make standard. I'm contemplating on whether or not I should buy a standard transmission 02 from a guy down the street and simply swap everything then resell the car or just get the parts from a JY. Either way, I know the guy's standard tranny Saturn doesn't have my exact options (ie: Cruise, AC, etc.). With whichever option I go with, I know I need to find a PCM with my exact options from a JY. However, must I also get a matching BCM? I hear I can just take the PCM with my exact options from a 5-speed JY Saturn then flash my BCM? By doing so, can I keep my RKE? The keyless entry is my number one concern but I'm also concerned about not losing AC, Cruise, etc. Thank you guys so much! I've looked everywhere for help and can't seem to get this one question answered!

You are gong to potentially get into a very expensive can of worms. Sell the car as is and buy the one you want as swapping modules in a gen-3 is not a simple, low cost, trivial exercise and if you swap more than 1 at a time it will all lock up on you. The three modules are the passlock, BCM, and ECU. Everything for a transmission-engine is in the ECU only.

I've actually done this swap. As long as new computer has cruise control, it will work. If you decide to keep old computer, it will work. But be warned, don't push in clutch while in cruise especially since you won't have a rev limiter. I would def get right ecm though, and don't worry about bcm, that's interior lights, stuff you're not changing.

Rke, maybe somebody else could chime in.
