Dizzy with ac on ... engine fan does not come on

1997 sl2 and 1998 sc2
Both the cars have same prob.

Engine cooling fan does not come on...

I checked relay and fuses a.. They are all ok..

What else should I check...

I read somewhere if there is not enough refrigerent
Fan would not come on.. Is that true? How do I check its level?

Are you trying to troubleshoot a fan issue, or an AC issue here?

Quick check is to shove a jumper wire between pins 30 and 87 of the radiator fan relay in the UHJB. If it turns on then it works fine.

The A/C button doesn't turn on A/C, it asks the PCM to turn it on. The light stays on to let you know you've already asked for it, not to let you know A/C is on.
...
The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)

Is there any image I can check to find out which are 30 and 87 pin and what do u mean by uhjb ?

and relay has to be exact same numbers as it was originally in the car ? or you can replace relay with other years and models from Saturn?

Under Hood Junction Box

Every relay has a diagram on the side and each pin is numbered on the bottom/pin side.

Pretty sure '91-'95 is all 4pin relay's that don't totally swap with '96-'02 5pin relays (even when the '96-'02 use's a 4pin they're different). Most GM's use the same fuse's and relays in the '90's so finding more in a junkyard should be easy.

Thanks I will look in to it if fan is working but I think fan does not have problem beccause it does not overheat so at idle when it reaches required temp it does come on ...
