2009 Astra XR
Thumbs Up Just bought a fully loaded Astra XR-3!

I just bought a fully loaded XR-3 from Pickering Saab/Saturn just outside of Toronto, for $20,300(CDN) OTR. Is this a good deal? Well I think it is or I wouldn't have bought it, but whats the consensus? It was the very last Astra they had on the lot. It made my decision alot easier because I was debating on colours and options...and even whether to get an XR-5 or XR-3. I finally got to test drive the car that I've been eye-balling for a year and it drove great! Damn...I'm a happy man!!

As long as you are happy with the car and the price paid and the car isn't a lemon, then it's a good deal.

Happy motoring and congrats on the new ride.

Haha...funny guy! ...I tried for less, but the guy was insistant that there was no wiggle room on the price. I'm happy with the price, I was just wondering if its a good price overall...and mostly I'm just happy to be owning an Astra!!!

P.S. I will go down as the last person to ever buy an Astra from Pickering Saab/Saturn..as they are shutting down their doors after they sell their only remaining car, which is a Saab 93 I think...I'm a part of Saturn history!!

Thats the way the 08s were right? I agree with you, it looked better that way. About the colour..blue was my first choice a year ago...but I slowly shifted towards black. But, since this was the only one left, my decision was simple...and I don't regret it for a second!!

I dunno if I'd call it a deal. Sounds like regular price. Some people on here are reporting that they bought their 3 door for less than I got my XE (which i paid regular price for). But hey the important thing is you got a car you like! Welcome to the forum.

I know you can get a base XR-3 for 12,995 before fees and taxes up here in Canada. I'm not really looking to see if I got a deal per se, but more that I didn't totally get ripped. I know there's nothing I can do about it now, and yep, I'm damn happy about the car. Just curious about the price thats all...Thanks!

So it's as loaded as it should be

The manual is the way to go on the Astra. Hope you enjoy the Astra. I really wanted the Blue, but they only had Black when I was purchasing. I love the black when it's clean, but I still really like the Astra in Blue.

You were so lucky to find one with a manual tranny. I bought mine in Saturn dealership close to weston&higway 7 (I think it's called saturn of woodbridge). So yea, CADs

CD40 means premium audio, if you didn't get it then good for you cause it pretty much sucks as much as CD30 does

I think it's the optional audio equipment. There's a 6cd changer, different screen and different speakers (but apparently still not that good).

Enjoy your car!
I just got mine a couple of weeks ago, and I love it!
A black XE that I got for just under 15 500CAD (tax in, w/ A/C and armrest).

Edit: looks like I was a bit slow there... but right. Thanks Darek_dade for confirming.

Nice car, and nice deal. If I didn't have kids I'd be joining you with a 3 door - they look fanstinkintastic.

I just keep reminding myself how much better my 5 door XE is then driving the van.
