Default Fender Removal

I am going to take a fender (95' SL2) from a boneyard where the car is in 3' of snow. Do I need to get to the bottom of the fender to take it off. I can see where it's bolted on top, but wasn't sure where else it's fastened.

Check out my photo gallery. I took the front fender off of a '95 SC1 and took lots of pics. I'm quite certain you do have to get to the bottom and also one bolt inside the door area. It's not very difficult, but bring a shovel if it's in 3' of snow.

This is my thread about it.

Fender removal from a 1995 SL2 will be different. Especially in the front near the headlamps and where the fascia meets the fender.

Thanks guys. After your thoughts and looking, I think I can get the front bottom ones with a flex coupler and a socket from underneath. Then take out the headlight to get the front to fascia nuts.

To remove the front fender of a '95 SL2, you must remove those 2 plastic retainers below the front filler panel. Pull the panel outwards, and 2 10mm bolts will appear. Remove those bolts. Remove the retainers from the inner splash shield and let it drop. Remove the 2 (i believe 13mm) bolts that hold the bumper to the bottom front of the fender. Remove the headlight and remove the 2 10mm nuts holding the fascia to the front of the bumper. Open the front door and remove the bolt (it may be a torx bolt. i cant remember!) by going through the hinge in the door. Open the hood and remove the 10mm bolts that hold it to the frame rail. The fender should come right off.
