GM Dealer just told me they don't "support" Saturn anymore. Kept the car for
4 days and made a new key for a car they cannot program anymore? What do I do now? |

Your best bet may be to locate a locksmith. Most of them have the tech to duplicate automotive keys quickly. Yes, the Astra is an oddity, but if you're near enough to a larger city I believe you could find one or two who could take care of it for you.

Someone here just got some keys made. Search the threads.
This was a more extensive programming exercise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWA4ZYEiqEE |

GM and many dealer still support Saturn. even astra. If an astra came to me / dealer I would program the key.
All GM Dealers have MDIs, access to tech2win, service information and can and program an astra key. The dealer you went to likely don't give a ****. |

Go to another GM dealer in your area if that is possible, if one doesn't exist, call GM (Manufacturer) they wont be long contacting that local dealership for them to do the work and they wont be long listening to manufacturer. I still have my Astras at my local dealer when needed. They still can still do the same work, and order in parts etc (of whats still available, as its only availability of 10 years). Programming however is still easily done. Some locksmiths have the capability to do it also. You need your Car Pass (Security/Key code) for it which you have to get from GM if you dont have it, and usually they will charge for that info, unless you have a GM connection that can get it for you without charging.

I bought a 2008 Astra 3 door for my daughter in the fall and it came with one key only. I found a Saturn key blank on Kijiji in Whitby, Ontario for $35 from a very nice gentleman. I went to Surgenor GM here in Ottawa and they cut and programmed the key blank in about an hour. Great service advisor in Kevin who worked quickly to get the job done. They did have to do a bit of digging to find the correct code for the car but in the end charged me $172.77 which included a new battery. Great service. Great car.
