2005 VUE 3.5L
Default "Remote Trunk Release?"

Hey Saturnfans members! I had a possibly silly question... The saturn.com website states that the Vue has a remote trunk release on the 2005 model, but I have not bee able to find anything and didn't find any info in the owner's manual. Is there actually a remote release for the trunk or is this kinda like the chrome door sill rails they were going to offer on the 2005 and only did on a tiny few. Thanks for you help! :-)

I'm not sure about others, but my Vue RL was a very late model year production run and has no such remote release. My money is that they inteded to and never did, much like the crome strip you pointed out.

Does your Vue have a seperate Trunk release button on your keyless fob? Mine does not.

Unless they spring loaded the hatch, a remote release wouldn't do much good, as you'd still have to pull on the handle. The only thing it would help is the ability to open it from the inside, or give you a fail-safe in case the handle mechanism breaks.

The keyfob does not have a button to open the rear hatch. Well, other than the 'unlock' button.

the first click on the unlock button on the keyfob, unlocks the driver door, the second time you click it, it unlocks all the remaining doors, including the rear hatch. That is a remote as far as I can see.
