Default Trailing arm Snapped on a '95 SL1

Hey has anyone have a Trailing arm snap on an SL? Easy fix after a trip to the junk yard for a replacement.

been there, done that...I had to replace them (both, one went then about 4 or 5 months later the other side)-on a customer's car (92 SL1). There is nothing to hold what is left from turning so I used an air powered cutoff tool to cut the head of the bolt off to remove what was left on the rear attachment point. Once you get it off, it is not a big deal. I did get my parts from a junkyard and the nice thing about it is they seemed to be the same, no matter the model or year, so I had my choice of used ones.

Make sure you match the length of the threads on the end of the tube to the other side so that the wheels are centered. I double checked by using a tape measure and measured from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel-the length should be close to the same distance on both sides.

I've had the same problem on my 93 SC2, though I haven't got to fixing it (this is the "spare" car). Funny how they all seem to snap in the same place...

Plenty of good specimens in the junkyard... which models/years use the same design of trailing arm (assumed all S-series 1991-2002)?

What size sockets are required? None of the standard sizes that I have seem to be right.

The Hex Nut in the rear should be be 21mm Wrench Size.

The Bolts in the front should be 16mm Wrench Size.
