Default Engine 1995-2001 SW1 Swap

I have a 1995 SOHC Saturn Wagon which has a bad head. I've found and bought a 2001 Saturn SOHC engine. The engine will arrive this week. I was wondering what change I will need to make to make this engine work. Do I just change the sensors and injectors? I believe the engine comes with the 2001 Intake. Do I NEED to tap the head for the extra temp sensor or can I just leave it out ?? I know the engine will fit phsyically but is there any other changes I will need to make ??? ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just install the second temp sensor and that should be about it.

You can add one like this:

How do I make the same mod you did for the temp sensor? What did you use and how did you do it ?

tap that area of the head with a 1/4" NPT tap. or if you're unsure take it to a machine shop to do. it should take them all of 5 minutes to do.

here's another example. worked for me....

Just swap over the flywheel. Be sure to use the flywheel bolts and not the flexplate bolts.
