As seen on local montreal.kijiji.ca (loosely translated by Google, i was too lazy to do it myself):

2000 SL2 5MT 152 000 Km (94,500 MI) bought $1,400 only 8 days ago from a car dealer, for a girlfriend that doesn't want to know anything about manual transmission, she didn't even give it a try
He is asking $700, exchange would be considered and he also says: oil leak, probably from the motor pan gasket.
Hum...

---
I have too many -S- cars at that time to give a look at this one.

At least Google is trying (and failing humorously) A fun pastime with Google translate is to copy and paste famous song lyrics, translate to a foreign language or seven, then translate back to English and laugh at the jibberish that comes out.

I love the redlines as well, but only the redline vue seem to have been auto. I prefer auto over manual.

Thats weird how they changed the lug nut pattern just for the redline

This one sounds like a decent deal, except the poster (original owner) doesn't know his own vehicle very well. How bad would a rear ended damaged vehicle take away from it's worth?

Your general knowledges still impress me Madpogue. To be more specific about the "chauffer/conduire" (drive) in generic terms, it can be roughly defined as is in french:

1) "Conducteur" (driver) is the person who performs the action of driving, derivates from the verb "conduire" (drive).

2) A "chauffeur", too commonly interchanged here with "conducteur" but it shouldn't be the case because, by definition a "chauffeur" is a professional driver, his/her main function is to drive ("chauffer") a vehicle in the exercise of his/her profession. Ex: Un chauffeur de limousine
...
It wasn't an easy task for Google translator, the original text structure was genuinely poor... but entertaining and the $700 looks good too!

I never got to drive one. I've only admired from afar lol. I can't drive a stick, but I'd sure learn to drive that car. If I'm not mistaken, there was a supercharged variant that had more HP than that, or I may just be thinking of the stage 2 and 3 upgrades GM offered.

Electric first gen saturn!

Here's description:

$1500 without Batterys, controler, and controler pedal....

Electric Project Car.....1991 Saturn

2007-2008 winter project...1991 Saturn 4 door with 5 speed...I used a Clark Forklift GE Motor...It has nine Marine Deep cycle batteries, and a Curtis 1231C Controller...Electric vacume pump for the power brakes...Nine individual auto battery chargers..(the most cost effective way to equal charge batteries)...And one more battery for the normal car systems that is charged by the normal altinator by the main drive motor....

It runs out great...Top speed about 65mph...Use 3rd gear for around town...5th gear for highway...Rev works great...Does not have a lot of range with the lead acid batteries...I know lithium would probly triple it...It does not have a heater hooked up yet,,,several options there...There is space in front where I was planning to put a small gas generator...And it needs tires and a brake job...

It has been in inside storage for 3 years...Run it some every summer, but lost intrest in it...Too many other projects....

I have about $4200 in parts in it...Will take $3500...$3000 with out the batteries...Considering parting it out...If so: Motor-$1000...Tranny-$200...Controler with foot pedal-$1500...Chargers-$250...Car-$200....Monte 715-743-6129

I wouldnt know how much it would take away from its worth or how the original owner doesnt know his vehicle, because you didnt copy and paste the body of the craigslist ad as requested in the thread, and now the ad is deleted!!

Probably $999 down.

It always baffles me why a car with basically no miles needs something. My 97' Sc1 went to about a 160,000 miles before it needed a new muffler.

It's a muffler. A '98 ANYTHING, with ANY miles on it, needs a new muffler. Unless it's in a no-rust part of the country.

If it's $999 down, the balance should be about $50. Who would finance a 13-year-old car anyway?

Billy Bob's Buy Here Pay Here! Your down payment is pretty close to what the car is worth/what the dealer paid for it. Then you have a year or two of payments that are just gravy. People preying on those with lower incomes unfortunately. They are all over here in Memphis.

What's worse is people fall for it. If you can afford to throw about a thousand bucks at someone for a car, you could go online and probably buy the same car for half the amount!
