Default Holes behind trunk emblem

Does anyone know where the holes are located behind the trunk emblem? Are they vertical, horizontal, and about how far apart are they from each other? TIA

Don't think there are any holes, I bought the exact same large trunk emblem on e bay and it is peel and stick! You can call a saturn dealer to verify this.

There are definitely two holes. I've removed that emblem, filled in with bondo, sanded, painted, and clearcoated. They're both circular; one is about the size of a pencil eraser and the other is about half that size, diagonally up and to the right about an inch and a half. its hard to say exactly where they are, though.

are you about to attack this little mod? i can help u if you need.

wrrrrronngggggggg

ive done the mod, there are two holes, at least there are holes on the 07 Aura XR...

the whole reason why yours came just peel and stick, is because if you got the real factory emblem you would have to drill two holes. the factory saturn trunk lid emblem has two prongs sticking out the back.

just out of curiosity, why did you buy another one? did your car not have one when you got it? were there not two holes already drilled where the logo belongs? do you have an 07 aura xr?

So, if I were to center another emblem (in the same place as the original square one) that is circular with a diameter of about 2.375 inches, would it cover the holes?

And, I know, there is a bend in the trunk......

cverstij, out of curiosity, why are you wondering this? Are you replacing the badge, or simply debadging altogether?

Ah, I see. I was just wondering. In some cases, there might be easier alternatives, you know?

maybe you could just put an emblem to cover the holes to avoid all the sanding & painting?

I was just wanting to know where the holes were before I got another emblem so I knew how small I could get it. I got the old emblem off and the two holes are pretty retarded.....size and location. I don't even know why they are necessary. One is all the way on the left side about half way up (pencil eraser size) and the other is a pin hole behind the top right corner of the emblem.

IMO it looks 10x better with no badge at all. to this day im impressed with how much it affects the look of back end angles when all i did was remove a badge and bondo/sand/paint/clearcoat/sand/wax.

if the new badge cannot eclipse the original when placed one on top of the other, then i wouldnt try it. it sounds like an emblem that size should work though.

the bend wont affect your badge at all. the factory badge on the trunk lid is completely flat on the back side, and that worked, so i dont see why a different badge wouldnt work.
