Default Girdle worth it?

Howdy folks,

Doing a rebuild on a '96 SW2. I've got everything put back together, and am wondering whether it would be worth it to replace the oil baffle tie plate with the larger newer girdle.

Everything on the engine is stock 1996 parts. Would the girdle make much difference without the newer crankshaft?

Also, would my existing crank cap bolts work with the girdle, or would I need new/different bolts?

Thanks.

I have one car with and one without. I can't tell the difference. I wouldn't bother.

That's the way I'm leaning too. How about the crank cap bolts? Are they the same?

I've only rebuilt the '99. I've not opened up the '98. I assume it is the same as the girdle, or windage tray bolts on separate from the main bearings. Those 6 bosses around the inside perimeter of the bottom of the case is where it bolts on.
