I should probably also mention, eventually I want to buy a wrecked redline and do a full interior swap into the sedan.
Black dash, consoles, recaros, etc.

thats one monster of a setup. looks awesome

what kit of brake swap did you get? is it just the RL brakes? iv been looking into getting a disk swap, but want to keep it 4 lug tho. idk if youv read the SC2 brake swap post where it has been discussed a lot. i would really like disks instead of drums. much easier to maintain.

Its a complete setup froma redline. Swapped the whole knuckle with everything attached. The front brakes are over an inch bigger themselves plus you get rear disk. I haven't tried any ebrake cables though. I did do the redline center console swap and I do have the rear matching recaros. I have been tossing the brembos around but would suck for trying to run any high sidewall slick

and im assuming you swapped the rear axel beam for the caliper mounts for the rear brakes. i really want disks, but theres no salvage yard in south louisisana with a redline to scrap from, and would be cheaper than having to buy everything from GM.

Yeah I swapped the beams. What a pain that was on a Michigan car.... I actually bought the full swap with the Ss/sc wheels for $300 from a guy in Louisiana. New brakes and all

i have the worst luck with wheels.

Those black wheels i got off my GF's civic, after going to get them balanced, 2 are badly bent. and then this morning, i get a blowout on one of those wobbly rims. time to put my silver ICWs back on and fix the cracked one. eventually, imma have to breakdown and just buy new rims

Just got yet another set of wheels.
i put those black Enkei,s back on my GF's civic since those were bent.
Over the weekend, had a Baton Rouge trip to buy another set of wheels found within a facebook group.

Photo taken by the person selling the wheels that i screenshot.

They are a set Racing Hart CP-10 17" wheels, and they are lightweight wheels too. Apparently they are very hard to find, and are high priced wheels

im ordering a new set of tires today to put on them, as 2 of the 4 were damaged, and the others are well used, but drivable.

Expect photos coming soon with them on the ion.

Also debating whether to repaint them or not (currently are a Bronzish Grey, debating to go black or even white).

got a few things done to mine, always been too broke to actually finish anything i ever planned on doing.

interior/exterior:
recaro front and back seats
sony head unit and all wired up to have a sub put back in again
motegi FF7 wheels that need refinished badly
and i just got about 90% of my coupe front end swap finished. just need to nit pick a little until its perfect in my eyes

performance wise:
eibach springs
coppertop strut tower bar
ported LSJ manifold
ZZP downpipe
tsuedo ebay exhaust

really just looking to refinish or switch out my wheels, upgrade my blown shocks/struts, and get it into a paint booth to freshen up the scratched, worn and mismatched paint

looks awesome.
I really do like how the recaro seats look.
i wish there was a set available local, but afaik, there isnt a lot of RLs in south louisiana.
your wheels look similar to the silver ICWs i have

BTW, another thing to add to my Need to-do list is a new stereo unit.
My JVC unit just died and refuses to turn on.
Looking at getting another JVC, but a KW-R910BT double din unit.
i had the KD-HDR50 single din unit

yeah i spent a few years hunting for recaros and ended up traveling a couple hundred miles to meet up with a guy who happened to be kinda traveling through my general area to pick them up. 3 hour drive with only a driver's seat in my car was kinda weird, but totally worth it

i needa take out all my seat and give my carpet a really good cleaning.
Lately i been having a lot of ants in my car, and thats due to accidently leaving a cup with a tiny bit of cheese in there, and attracted a ton of those sugar ants.
cant leave anything food, drink, or snack related in my car for more than 5 minutes without a few ants swarming on it.
Plus got a bit of mold on the carpet on the driver side foot well.
and then find my water drip under the dash.

on the bright side...

havent gotten new tires on them yet, but the old ones are still drivable (only one of them is not due to the tire on it had a blowout, so i got one of my old silver ICWs in place of it).
Just debating whether to keep them that color or not

Car looks clean! That charcoal is probably my favorite color for these cars.
As for suspension, an LSJ set up would do wonders.
I have 30% on mine, and it blends well.
I know Kevin made his own CAI, and I believe some else is using a weapon R.

Those few little things will make a world of difference for the car. And you have a 07, so you can go beyond those things.
Is it a 2.2 or 2.4?

Those wheels look sick man!
I would say paint them white, and lower a bit more, and it will look amazing.

Hell, use plastidip and play around with the color.

Hi I have an 05 Ion-1. Things I want to do is maybe go to one solid color. I have the matte black plasti dip two toned look but not sure if I'm feeling it anymore and may go full matte black or back to one color in the spring.
I want to get : redline recaro seats if I can find some
Clean up or paint the engine , cut into the bumper to lift the exhaust muffler tip,
And or order an ion special edition fascia bezel
Possibly a body kit.
Convert from a short ram to CAI

Things I have done:
FE5 struts and rear shocks (08+cobalt TC)
FE5 Front sway bar
FE5 lower control arms
John Powell race shop rear hardcore anti roll bar
ZZP upper strut bar
Switched to Canuck lowering springs recently after
Having B&G springs
Light tinted headlights/ after market led tail lights
Weapon R secret intake short RAM
LSJ extrude honed header, full lsj exhaust
Magnaflow street series muffler. Just switched from the race series n1 style muffler
16 inch motegi rims/continental extreme DWS tires
17 inch konig starlite rims/Nexen tires
17 inch O.Z alleggerita hlt black wheels that finally arrived

The site won't let me upload prior pics because I must have uploaded them on prior threads .

It is a 2.2 with 127,000 miles. As for the LSJ suspension, I was looking on different sites, and it said it was only for the redline... Would that require a lot mods to get it to work?

LSJ is the redline.
The FE3 is a direct plug-n-play. I will be doing it on mine soon, hopefully.
