Default Im I missing something here?

I am starting to look for a new cat.
It looks like if you buy oem, it would just bolt on, no welding needed.
I looked at saturnparts.com and gmbuyparts.com and neither of them list cats for my 99 SL1. Where can I get a price for one?

Also, my car has cali emmisions. Do I need a cali cat, or can I use a regular one. If I use a regular one, will it throw a code? What do they do different on cali cars, is it a smog pump or something?
...
If it ain't broke it's over designed.

If you're talking about the cat under the car, just replace it with any aftermarket replacement cat. Just no high flow cats or anything with a larger than factory diameter inlet and outlets.

Theres always this too:
