Default Where and how to remove the airbag control module in 96 Saturn SL1?

I got into a accident the other day. The airbags deployed and I need to get them fixed. I ordered some "new" ones online and they are on their way. I have already removed the deployed airbags and now all I need to do is remove the airbag control module. I cant find online anywhere that shows me where it is at. My haynes manual does not tell me either. Does anyone know where it is located and the process of removing it. I already have the top panel removed from when I removed the passenger airbag. Is it back in there somewhere? If you have any diagrams or links that would be amazing, but any help would be much appreciated.

Under the center console right behind the shifter. Yellow connector and yellow label on it.

Take a picture of the airbag control module and then go to the junkyard or ebay and match up the numbers. The connection plug is a complete mystery to me, although I somehow have replaced them.

You'll need a new clock spring now as well.

Looking to replace airbag module per dealership. airbag light stays on and gonna cost me around $1000 to fix it at dealership. Have already purchased Module just need to find old one and replacement and reset light in cluster. any one know how to replace module ? Vehicle has not been wrecked, and no airbag deployment. Any suggestions or diagrams, instructions welcome.

Take up the center console. There is a connection locking plug on the connector that has to be removed before it will disconnect. Thee is also a pin keeper so you have to detect which to pull, the one holding the wires into the body is not it. Pull air bag fuse and give it a good 30 minutes withh fuse out to bleed down. match the numbers on JY module with the installed one before installing. The SDM is on the floor next to the e-brake handle.
