Dizzy Dome light issues

When I open my driver side door the domelight does not work. The rest of the doors operate the light. Also, the light works in the on position. Obviously, it is the switch. I don't know where it is. Also, I don't feel like looking this time of the year because we just got pounded with snow. The average high is around 10 lately. Any insight to where the switch may be would be greatful.

The door switch comes out of the side of the dash. There shoud be a plastic pin that contacts the door as it closes.

On a sedan? I thought they did this only on the suicide-door coupes. On my '96 wagon, it's on the B-pillar near the floor.

Milnimi, does the chime work when you open the door with the headlights on, or open the door with the key in ACC?

The door switch is on the side of the dash. Somehow I fixed on accident. I went to see if the door chimed when I left the headlights on. I moved the side vent with the headlights on and it started to chime. Thank you for all of your help.

2000 MY and up they went to the dash side switches for the front doors.
