Dizzy Help! Clutch safety kill switch???

Iím trying to put a kill switch in my 2007 Saturn Ion 5-speed. I understand the process behind it but will it work using the clutch safety switch wiring? Will it stop my car from starting when I have the kill switch engaged? Has anyone done it? Any other relay you used?

Default Re: Help! Clutch safety kill switch???

I posted wiring diagrams that I believe are universal for Ion auto or manual. When a theft attempt is made, GMs factory Passlock anti theft system flashes quickly and disables the starting circuit and injectors so any attempt to drive away the car fails. This only works when using remotes to Lock doors, simultaneously enabling Passlock with a blinking indicator letting you know the security system is enabled. When remote Unlock is pressed, driver's door unlocks and disables security to allow starting.

If remotes are lost or broken, replacing them is less expensive now but programming by dealer, locksmith or aftermarket clone of GMs Tech II scantool is required. Remotes operate doors, trunk and security. Without a remote, security is more difficult to enable but relatively easy to disable by entering the car, inserting and turning on ignition quickly before a timer times out and triggers horns and lights while disabling the starting circuit/injectors.

If you search within these forums, you'll find wiring diagrams for the starting circuit. You can easily add another cutoff switch to the clutch switch circuit and hide the switch as it won't interfere with security.
