2007 AURA XE
Question 2007 Aura XE Transmission problem?

I have a 2007 Aura XE with 60,000 miles. I've recently been hearing a periodic repeating thrum that shows up above 10mph through 40mph or so, and goes away at highway speeds (or wind noise etc and speed of thrum makes it unnoticeable). The period of the thrum speeds up as mph increases. I think it is coming from the front left.

Normally I would say this is a bad wheel bearing, but a buddy at the local NTB store put it on the lift and found little or no play in the bearing. He definitely heard the thrum. He suggested that it might be transmission related.

Any thoughts?
