Don't worry about getting an OEM, I can't imagine paying $150 for one. I've put the $17 Westar top mount from Amazon on 3 different cars (1996 sl1, 2001 sl2, 1997 sw2) and have had buttery smooth results with all 3, no more rattles.

I recently replaced my top motor mount with the Westar EM2827 and much of the vibration I was experiencing vanished.
The Westar EM2827 is a solid design (similar to OEM) and NOT the much maligned "frowny" design. One caveat though. I needed to enlarge, via a dremel with a small grinding wheel, the frame side holes to make it fit over the studs; the engine side holes lined up perfectly. If you still want an OEM top mount, this seller still has them. Several here have purchased from them in the last few months, based off this link.

Seller says they only have about 10 left.
I am in no way promoting this seller over any other source, but just fully realize that other than this guy, no one else seems to have any original TAM's left. Other than grabbing an OEM off of a wreck or junked car, we are stuck with DEA/Anchor and other such TAM replacements. Unless as Fetchitfido once alluded to, fill the TAM void with some kind of window or silicone putty or...I don'know what. Someone needs to experiment with substitute materials and discover a solution. |

Well that's unfortunate then. Hopefully these westar mounts are as good as other claim them to be.

I can confirm that both the Westar and the old DEA A2827 mounts suck. They're great at first and when the weather is warm, but as others have noted, the solid design is really only good if you don't put more than 5k on your car each year, or if you race your car. Otherwise you'll likely get vibrations bad enough to cause damage to your exhaust. In my case, I put about 15k on my car a year, so I need a good design.
Thanks toggenburg, ordered one of the OEMs for myself before they're all gone. |

I used one of the solid Anchor mounts in my SL2 for 8 years /100k miles and it's still in good shape. wouldnt be surprised if Westar, DEA, and Anchor mounts are all made by the same company and reboxed / rebadged for sale

My 2017 production DEA is still going good, I think it's like the poly Dog-bone inserts, if you engine is smooth, it's not going to cuase excess vibes.

OEM is the only one that's going to last 200k+. The China mounts will last 1-2 years.

Even the anchor frowny mount feels great for the first couple months. The quality shows in longevity.

I think it's a YMMV situation. My DEA mount is still going strong.
That said, Chinese products are not known for high quality control. It's possible that at some point, their source for rubber slipped in some lower quality stuff in certain batches. It's also possible that some of the mounts mentioned in the thread above were not installed properly - something did not get properly torqued, they forgot to loosen and re-torque the lower mount bolt, etc.
