I have a 99' SL1 and I put in a new stereo. When I put it in and started the car, it lit up the stereos' screen half way and makes a loud piercing noise from the right left speaker. When I turn the key to accessory it flashes the stereo twice with full-brightness then dies. If anybody has any troubleshooting tips for this let me know, thanks!

The big yellow wire is power, the small yellow wire is speaker.
If that's not it then it's something else, could be just a bad head unit. Some '89 GM's use this and some '00 GM's use it...all '91-'99 S-Series do (though dimmer polarity flips between '95 and '96) and most if not all GM's '90-'99 use it. |
