I have a 1992 sohc with a manual and a 94 sohc with an auto. the 92s engine smokes like cheech and chong and the 94s trans is shot. i only need one of the cars. i was wandering if the 94s engine will work with my 92s computer as long as i switch all the external sensors. i dont want to have to take the heads off. if not how bad is it to convert the 94 to manual.
Please help |

'94 engine will not run in the '92. '91 and '92 had a different crankshaft, different timing.
Manual swap, once thought impossible, has been done aprx. 114989345626 times. Search is your friend. |

You'll need a 1994 engine wiring harness, 1993/1994 instrument cluster and some rewiring of the instrument cluster connector.
