Dizzy ? for anyone who has replaced ur ccps (carbon canister purge solenoid)

im trying to replace mine now but i cant break the bolt loose that holds the old one in place... its a 10mm bolt and im pulling so hard that it feels like my arm is gonna break and that if it does break loose im gonna break my hand on something lol...
someone on here told me, before i had this problem, that when they replaced theirs they were told not to remove the old one but to just ziptie the new one in place? has anyone done this? has anyone had the problem im having?, if i have to ziptie it is there a certian way or place i need to do it? does it have to make contact with the block?

I for one can attest to the bolt being a bear to break loose! I couldn't break mine loose until the engine was out of the car, and someone before me had nearly stripped the bolt trying to take it off.

I do have a car with the CCPS zip-tied and secured for over a year, no problems. The attached hoses hold it on pretty well, you just want it secured so that the electrical connector doesn't get yanked on or scraped up.

It doesn't have to contact the block, as it needs no ground. Mine it tied off to my other CCPS.

Try putting a pipe on a breaker bar, that should get it.
