Default PO171 Code

Had a On-star notification in July 2009 on my Astra for this. The dealer re-programmed the computer. It's probably co-incidence but after an oil change on 11/28 the dealer said the check engine light came on but they didn't see a code. My reader says it's a PO171. I disconnected the plug for this sensor to verify that it was at fault. The dealer had told me I needed to bring the car in to have the computer re-programmed. I know about the tech notice that mentions the re-programming on the 2008 cars....but a second time does not make sense.

Any news on Astra's giving the PO171 code is welcome! Thanks for your help.
