Question No wiper/washer. Fuse blows!

I am working on a 96 SC2 with around 140,000 miles that has sat for a while. The wipers/washer will blow the fuse almost immediately after being turned on. So I am starting to do my research. Any thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanxs,

If the wipers work okay and it only happens when you try to engage the washer, the obvious test is to see what happens with the washer pump disconnected.

Hey Barnowl,

How ya been? thanks for the thoughts. I will try eliminating both but first I need to get some more fuses. In the old days I would have eliminated the fuse deal and looked for smoke.
