Glad to see the 3.6 DI will be standard. I am very disappointed that you still need to get the XR if you want fog lamps. I hate it when a manufacturer punishes you for not taking the uplevel model, not even an option on the XE!

It looks like the backup camera without nav is available with the convenience packages as well.

Yes, that's a new thing on essentially every GM truck and SUV for 2009, the rearview camera in the mirror that's either standard or optional on most every trim. Basically, finally, no more Nav requirement for it.

Any speculation whether the bluetooth will be backward compatible? Probably not since they are switching to Bose....

No, because it's part of a new Onstar module--Onstar 8.0. Not directly connected to the radio system, other than how Onstar already is. A few had guessed before it was going to be an add-on module, but it's not, it's a whole new gen of Onstar again.

The only remote possibility is some kind of an add-on for pre-Onstar 8.0 vehicles, as an accessory, but I wouldn't put too much stock in that happening.

I am curious as to why the Acadia gets cooled seats and the Outlook doesn't - I think you can also get perforated leather with the cooled seats.

On another note - has anyone seen the Platinum Ice Tricoat? I think I would love that color, but I haven't seen it anywhere - anytime I go to the retailer (and I stop at a few - What can I say - I am addicted LOL), I can never find that color.

If anyone has a true life picture with that color, can you post it? I would love to see it.

Here is a link to some photos of a white Outlook, I am not sure if it is the white diamond or the platinum as they switched part way through the year. I think the main difference is the white diamond had a slightly yellowish hint and the platinum a grayish tint.

Platinum Ice was never made available. They were going to switch from White Diamond, but never did.

So, you'll not find one

From what heard, when folks from Saturn Corp saw Platinum Ice on an Outlook, it didn't have the same premium, rich "look" as the White Diamond. Perhaps if demand for White Diamond fades, we'll get a chance to see what it looks like.

But for now, I'm going to enjoy my White Diamond!!

The White Diamond does look good though- but I wouldn't pay the extra because I really wanted Platnium Ice... That I would pay for.

I'm just one of those "cool" color girls I guess, as opposed to a "warm" color girl LOL>
