Default 98Sc2 Fuel tank buzzing sound not pump

I noticed a VERY loud intermittent and somewhat short lived buzzing sound coming from the fuel tank. I replaced the pump even though pressure was good. Started the car but buzzing returned. There is a metal cap with a hose coming out of it, just across from the pump (vent hose?). It seems to come from around there or the charcoal canister. This summer was the first time I noticed it. It seemed to coincided with p0172 but I rarely heard until this winter. Could it be related to a bad purge solenoid?

The purge solenoid is on the back of the engine. Do you mean the vent valve or something?
Possibly:
I’m getting an intermittent buzzing from the exhaust system. The strap of the pumpkin muffler rusted through and the system is now held in place with a gear clamp around the exhaust tip of the pumpkin muffler.

When I first started looking for it, I felt a vibration coming off the fuel lines back from the fuel filter. very strange.
I read that if the purge solenoid fails, the system vents it off into the atmosphere? Is the buzzing meant to act like a whistle on a tea kettle, or squealer on brakes? It doesn't sound like a loose piece of tin? I hear it stopped and rolling
