Default Update off vibration/shudder

After helping our city plows find the roads after our little snow storm the other night, my Vue is now vibrating after 70 mph and not stopping until much faster. I'm coming to think that there is a huge piece of snow wedged somewhere causing this.

But did I have fun.

Can I borrow someone's heated garage tomorrow?

Is it a continuous shudder in this speed range? If so I'd guess it is probably the tires/alignment somehow.

Hit a pothole? Alignment/balance may be off?

Roads treated w/ Sand? Could have some pebbles caught in the treads that could affect balance at high speed. But you would need real sensitive tires and suspension or alot of pebbles

Default Hmmmm.

After reading a bazillion posts about the Vue's vibrating, I think it's a flaw with the vehicle itself.

I don't know how cold it is where you live, but is it possible you have a piece of ice stuck on the inside flat of a wheel? To me, the clue is that it started after the fun in the snow. It only takes one-half ounce to give you a shake at 70 mph.

Default Hmmmm

It could very well be!
But then again, this happened also in the summer.

I know it's not that cold in Northern Ontario.

There has been plenty of reports of high speed shudder. On the Edmunds.Com VUE forum severl people reported their VUEs shudder around 55 60 mph. It seems to affect 4 cylinder Vues. Most with the AWD 6 do not have the problem.

I also had the same problem in winter with my old 93 SL2, but it happened when snow got packed in those goofy lookin "saw blade" rims.
