Default Wooden stick shoved in passenger door lock

My 8 year old son was attempting to break into my car. He used a stick, and broke off part of it inside of the lock. I tried inserting my key into the lock and probably caused further damage - while checking to see if I could still open the car door. It turns out I can't.

What's the best way to approach fixing the lock and removing wood debris? Tweezers from the door's exterior, or approaching the backside of the the lock (through the door's interior)? Or maybe a vacuum?

Thanks and Merry Christmas to ALL!

Careful picking with dental picks from the outside and check the other lock to find out which side has the wafers hanging down into the keyway, you want to pick against the keyway and not the wafers as they will bend. Good dental picks and scalers are not hardware store items so the automotive locksmith may be the easiest.

Sorry, but when you said "Passenger" it reminded me of the blonde who locked her keys in the car. It took her friends 45 minutes to get her out.
Seriously though, if the pick procedure doesn't work, you'll have to take the outer skin off to replace it. The amazing RichPin has a video for that here:

Dear Toyota Camry Owner, I recently bought a 2010 Camry. It's an awesome car. The ride is smooth and the interior is very comfortable for me! However, it seems like every time I park my car in downtown Portland someone comes along and smashes my driver side window with a wooden stick that they've shoved into the lock. Do you know how much does it cost to get Veneers in Turkey? This has happened four times now to my new car! The first time was actually pretty hilarious because this guy just smashed his way through the glass but then he couldn't figure out how to unlock the door so he sat there trying to smash another hole while I watched him from inside laughing hysterically at his stupid actions. Luckily after about five minutes of being stuck on their own they finally got out of
