I've been googling trying to figure out what is correct.
I've seen 24 ft-lbs for the trans mount into the trans. the nut on the bottom against the cradle I've seen 27 ft-lb, 35 ft-lb & most seem to say 37 ft-lb... I was installing a new transmission mount & the stud broke off before the torque wrench ever clicked for 37 ft-lb... So I bought another one, made sure to keep any oil, grease off the threads & torqued to 37-ft-lb again using a different torque wrench, didn't snap so I'm not sure what happen with the first one if the torque wrench just wasn't working right or if the stud was defective or if 37 ft-lbs is just the wrong spec for that?? then the torque strut itself, I've seen 37 ft-lbs & 52 ft-lbs, one page I found on this site says 52ft-lbs if the bolt is 10.9 http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=221441 while another page I found says it's only 52ft-lbs if the bolt is 12.9 http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=208268 mine are 9.8 on the trans side of the torque strut & 10.9 on the body side of it. So to be safe for now I did 37ft-lbs & also bought a new digital torque adapter so I can double check the torque wrenches are working correctly. ![]() ![]() Last edited by V3DT; 07-27-2021 at 04:13 PM. |

24ft/lbs for the 10mm bolts into the transmission, 37ft/lbs for the rest.

One page I found on here says*
I wish they allowed edits past 15 minutes, I always notice typos later. That is exactly how I have them right now. |
