Motegi Traklite or LC5 in 5x110

I have had enough interest from various 5x110 vehicle owners (Ion, L-Series, Cobalt, HHR, Saab, G6, Malibu, Etc.) to pursue building a run of 5x110 Motegi Lightweight wheels. The options are TrakLite, TrakLite 2, OR LC5. You can view these wheels at the Motegi website at www.motegiracing.com.

If enough people want one style and size, we will continue to pursue the project. I will be posting this Poll on other vehicle forums to generate wider interest, and combining the results. Once we feel the interest is there, we will post a discounted Pre-Purchase to get the ball rolling.

Aren't the ION/Cobalt (non supercharged) both 4 Lug? (Not sure about the other cars)

I can't say for the Cobalt, burnout, but the regular ION is definitely 4 lug. This is why people can put ION wheels on an S-Series.

Correct on the current Ion (non-SC), but the Cobalt has both 4 and 5 lug options, as does the HHR. GM is migrating to 5x110 on 4-wheel-disc optioned vehicles.

I was working with American Racing in 2004/2005 on getting the TrakLite in a 5x110 on redlineforums. Nobody wanted to pay ~$300 or so per wheel. :shrug: When I told them the upcoming (then, lol) Solstice/Sky and all the new Epsilon sedans were goingto be 5x110, they doubted me and said "we'll see", lol.

A/R Stated: "Not enough interest to warrant tooling changes." Plus, 17" was going to be $350 and 18" over $400 each. We recently launched a forged 18" Lightweight 5x110 wheel_program that has been doing well. Here is a link:

We were selling a bunch of these to our local WRX_customers and as more of our local 5x110 customers saw them, we ended up getting enough people to pre-purchase enough sets to make it happen.

Still nothing for those wanting to campaign an IRL in DS.

I can't f'ing believe these guys. Solstice, Sky, IRL, CSS, upcoming HHR SS, most Saabs, G6, Aura - and more coming - and they won't build us a lightweight wheel! WTF!! Even if I go to STX, I'd rather have a 17 - or even drop to a 16!

Being able to get a lightweight 17" wheel may be the deciding factor between continuing to mod my SC2 or buying an '05 Comp IRL I have my eye on right now.

EDIT: What's the status on those Delta coilovers?
