ok so recently my girlfriend rear ended the 92 SC into the back of a goddamn GMC Yukon. You can now imagine the damage.
![]() My front bumper is practically pushed in ALL the way and for some goddamn reason both of my headlight assemblies busted. ![]() What i need is some help finding replacement headlight asseblies or a conversion kit to put in normal headlights. As many of you know the 92 SC had flip ups and at this point i dont really care if i get to keep em or not, so a conversion kit would also work. Any ideas as to where i can get them? I have tried junkyards, eBay, craigslist, even the internet and i just cant seem to be able to find the damn headlights. Any help would be greatly appreciate it!!!! |

Either buy replacement headlamp assemblies at the junkyard. Or convert the front end to a SC1. You'll need the front fenders, upper/lower fascia, hood, bumper support, headlamps, foward lighting wiring harness and misc brackets.
But even with junkyard parts, it would be cheaper to just replace the car.

OO boy am i aware that replacing the car is cheaper...but with just the work that i have done to the car id rather fix it. I was thinking about converting the front to that of an SC1 but i was more leaning to converting them to just normal headlights...kind of like these:
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/fa...y-flip-up.html or maybe even like these: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/fa...p+up+headlight I have an idea as to how and I'm going to try. I just hope I can get the headlight assemblies all out... |

Links worked for me. I like the idea very much. Cars with pop-out lights look awesom when they're down, but awful with the lights on. And really, people should have their full headlights on all the time (I swear this makes your car register at least 20% slower on the cops radar gun...).
I've often wanted to get a late 80's Fiero, 300Z or maybe a '91 Celica to fix-up nicely but I would want an alternative to the pop-out lights, other than just trying to graft in a Sunfire headlamp and patch around it. |
