Default Missing EGR Valve ?

I dont see a EGR valve on my 05 L300 V-6
My other 2 L300's have one in plain view.
Is it somewhere else of did they somehow manage to do away with it ?

2000 L-Series 2.2L Sedan
Default Re: Missing EGR Valve ?

Judging from the OE parts catalog online, it's possible that the EGR Valve could've been omitted from the '05 L300. As one would expect, a new EGR valve is NLA from '00 through '03 although the part number is present. However, the part is not even listed for '04 or '05 L Series cars with the V6.

My '00 LS1 with the 2.2L is cataloged as having an EGR Valve, but never did, and it was originally sold as a CA emissions rated vehicle. I think that you can consider yourself fortunate that there's one less emissions part to deal with!

I drive a 2002 mustang and recently the check engine light came on, I went to Autozone to get a scan on it to see what was up. It came up saying I had some sort of problem with my EGR valve. I immediately went to the Ford dealership about 2 minutes down the road to ask questions.

My bet is if it's running fine after it's warmed up, the problem likely won't be fixed by spraying carb/intake cleaner in it. Is the check engine light on? If so, a good start would be having the codes read for the vehicle at your local auto-parts store.

hi brutha sages- i dont think the 01 4cyl L100 i have is blessed with an egr valve. cant find it in my books or on the manifold like on older tanks. asked chevrolet dealer(successor to saturn) shop and was told no records for that old model, but they generously offered to find it for only $119. is this a new twist on old shysterism? also have noticed some stores now charging you a " convenience fee of 3% if you pay with a credit card. back in 68 we called that a cheap shot. what think you? thanks tons bob f
