Default little to no air coming to dashboard windshield vent

I was trying to defrost the fog from my front windshield.
So I turned on heat and moved the lever to defrost.
Little to no hot air was coming out of dash vent with fan on high.
All the other vents worked fine as I moved the slider and
tested each vent setting but not the last setting which was defrost
which direct the heat to the dash window vents to defrost the windshield.
