Default CAR-CISSISM / vanity

I once again found myself admiring my own car, and taking photographs of it...again. I then started wondering if anyone else on here does this. Is that creepy? If anyone else here happens to be a weirdo that takes photographs of your own car (preferably an S series), this could be a place to share them... if you want.

This is my current saturn, a 1999 SC1. My dad thinks it is gold, but me and my sister must be color blind, because it looks grey. The clear coat is peeling, and there are some scratches, but it looks a lot better than it did a few months ago.
I have not yet solved the misfire it has, and it is leaking transmission fluid.
It needs to pass emissions to be legal.

My L300 is either gunmetal or pewter with silver flakes. If your Saturn has a hint of brown and yellow mixed with metallic silver then it may be GMs idea of metallic gold. 24 carat gold has zero impurities and appears as dull old gold or shiny (sold) gold like the gold bars in movies or actual bars. The metallic silver used with light grey paint to me is metallic silver paint. Every vehicle manufacturer doesn't want plain names so they dress up paint descriptions. Alcanterra is a popular substitute for leather but it's still faux leather - Alcantara is the brand name of a common synthetic textile material. It has a soft, suede-like microfibre pile and is noted for its durability. Decades ago, a relative bought a faux suede suit coat that is very soft to the touch. Great for trouble free wearing without worrying about leather drying out.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You're happy with your Saturn and sharing snapshots are part of most car/truck/suv owners. Even tractor truck owners dress up their everyday haulers and share snapshots to anyone appreciating their rides. Before Charlie the admin suffered server damage a few years ago, many here were able to post snapshots in personal albums. Unfortunately, replacing the server killed all the albums. They're still on a hard drive but Charlie is unable to merge them into the new server. Many members posted snapshots of their Saturns. The only way for members now to share snapshots, drawings, diagrams, whatever, is to use the thumbnail attachments until Charlie finds a way to restore everyone's albums.

I made this thread with the intent that anyone that wants to can share thumbnail pictures of their saturns in one place, I did not find it elsewhere.

I understand completely. Before losing this site server a year or two back, my photos (when clicking fdryer's Photos) were available for anyone to see. The same for every member here until the sever died and Charlie replaced it. Click on my photos and you'll see an error message. Everyone either created their own photo album or used a general page to post snapshots under the old server. That's gone along with everyone's photos unless posted as thumbnails in a thread.

Is that also why I can not figure out how to put photos in my gallery?

While there are no galleries, anyone that wants to can post photos of their car in this thread, a central location.

This is a major revelation: These small non-AWD cars are capable of driving in snow. I do not think that I could do it though, bicycles are the only thing that I can drive in snow. (and it really gets piled high on sidewalks)
