2007 VUE Red Line
Default Help- License plate light out

I just noticed one of my license plate lights is out on my vue, and was wondering what level of difficulty is involved in replacing them, and what options are available for replacing the lights? I noticed they look a little odd, or perhaps it was just covers over the bulbs.

I'm interested in perhaps replacing both lights with something brighter, perhaps longer lasting. I'm not really sure leds are the answer, they seem dimmer on the cars i've seen using them. Anyone have any ideas? suggestions? is there something brighter available? i'm willing to consider leds, but i'd like everyones opinion on my options. How difficult are they to change? how much do the bulbs cost?

Autozone has some great little 168 bulbs that fit in there. They look blue when turned off, but they produce a VERY white light. No yellow present at all. They should be in the 'ricer bulbs' section in a yellow package.. something like XTREME LITES... you get the picture.

Or, I'll just post one :-P

EDIT: 194 and 168 have the same base. The 194 ones (I believe) are 100% blue colored. The 168 bulbs have a clear glass base and a blue top. The 194 bulbs are 100% illegal, they are VERY blue. The 168 bulbs look like a xenon white. Very white and modern.
