Wrench 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Oil Pressure Sensor Replacement

2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Oil Pressure Sensor Replacement

Thank you everyone!

What I used:
  • 1 x 15/16" Wrench
  • 19mm Socket (Tire Removal)
  • Hydraulic Floor Jack (3 Ton) - Choose carefully for safety
  • Strong Heavy Duty and Safe Jack Stands (I have purchased 5 heavy duty older ones from used sellers locally over the last couple of years and would NOT trust anything but strong and old; no amazon, harbor freight, or even home depot... I have no idea where to purchase new strong jack stands. I am pleased with my 5.
  • Oil Pressure Sensor (Either Amazon or Partsgeek.com)

Procedure summarized:

I think you have to have the oil drained to do this procedure correctly; after I drained the oil in attempts to remove my Crankshaft bolt on my Timing Belt Kit + Camshaft + Crankshaft Seal Replacement thread, I went ahead and changed this out because of the sensor light came on before and I replaced the part and never changed it.

Here is the success of this replacement.

Be careful when handling the electrical harness (gently use the clip on the back to release) and pull the adapter out for replacement (and for fitting of the 15/16" wrench) which releases the oil pressure sensor and torques it back down nicely with ease.

Thanks again everyone!
