Default Wasp nest in sideview mirror

I am allergic to bee stings. While parking the car after returning from a short trip today, I watched as a wasp (or yellow jacket) immediately appeared over, hovered and then crawled into the passenger side mirror housing.

I don't know if a nest is already in progress, but can anyone suggest the safest way to address this?

Thanks.

If it were me, I would look for an outdoor sprayable liquid insecticide which was designed to kill wasps, or for wasp nests. Of course, be sure you're properly covered when you do this and that your mouth and nose are covered with an appropriate mask.

Sorry for the late outcome post.

I picked up a can of Spectracide wasp spray from Lowe's and, the next morning, with the temperature under 50 degrees, sprayed the hell out of both sideview mirrors. Wasps all gone.

Thanks!

Oh, this is not so late - you're doing fine. I still have a thread that's well over a year old that hasn't been resolved. Why is it unresolved? I can deal with the problem and not be too inconvenienced by it so I just concern myself with other issues (automotive or not) that are of greater concern. Thank you for providing the resolution post!
